Electronic Technician (ET) – Deepwater Drillship

We are recruiting for an experienced Electronic Technician (ET) to join a deepwater drillship operation.

The successful candidate must have strong drillship experience and previous hands-on experience working with Aker drilling equipment and control systems.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Electronic Technician (ET) on deepwater drilling units
• Proven drillship experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Aker drilling equipment and associated control systems – essential
• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electronic and automated drilling systems
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, control systems, instrumentation and sensors
• Experience with planned and preventative maintenance
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills within an operational drilling environment
• Valid offshore certifications and medical

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair electronic and control systems across the drilling package
• Provide technical support for Aker drilling equipment and associated systems
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance
• Diagnose electronic, instrumentation and control system faults
• Support drilling operations and minimise equipment downtime
• Maintain accurate maintenance and technical records
• Work closely with electrical, mechanical and drilling departments
• Ensure all work is completed in line with HSE and operational procedures

Aker experience is a mandatory requirement.

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ ET experience within deepwater drilling operations.
