Position - Senior Electrical Technician (Reactivation)

MAC Recruit Group has been engaged to support a rig reactivation project in the Middle East.

We are seeking experienced offshore drilling personnel with a strong shipyard background, who can mobilise quickly for an upcoming project.

Senior Electrical Technician (Reactivation)

Primary Role Focus

Support the development of electrical commissioning and energisation packages for rig systems.

Key Requirements

• Strong offshore electrical experience on drilling rigs or offshore assets. 
• Previous experience supporting electrical commissioning/startup/reactivation projects preferred. 
• Experience developing: 
  • electrical commissioning procedures 
  • energization plans 
  • testing methodologies 
  • isolation plans 
  • electrical check sheets 
• Strong understanding of: 
  • generators 
  • switchboards 
  • MCCs 
  • PMS systems 
  • VFDs 
  • UPS systems 
  • emergency power systems 
• Ability to support: 
  • startup sequencing 
  • energization philosophy 
  • electrical isolation strategy 
  • operational verification methodology 
• Strong understanding of offshore PTW/LOTO requirements essential.
