MAC Recruit Group is supporting the recruitment of a Shift Operations Technician for a modern Energy from Waste facility based in Central Scotland.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience within Power Generation, EfW, CHP, Biomass, Petrochemical or heavy industrial/process environments looking to join a stable and growing operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the safe and efficient operation of plant systems and process equipment
• Carry out first-line maintenance, inspections, fault diagnosis and reporting
• Monitor plant systems from the control room environment
• Respond to plant alarms, breakdowns and operational issues
• Assist with plant availability, reliability and operational performance
• Maintain high HSE standards across all activities
• Support waste handling and plant equipment operation where required

Candidate Requirements

• Experience within a shift operations environment
• Background in Power, EfW, Utilities, CHP or similar heavy process industries
• Good understanding of HSE procedures and safe systems of work
• Experience with plant inspections, reporting and operational checks
• NVQ or relevant engineering/process qualification preferred
