SENIOR SITE ENGINEER / SUB AGENT
Location: East Scotland
About the Opportunity
An established infrastructure contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Site Engineer / Sub Agent to support the delivery of major rail and civil engineering projects across Scotland.
This position offers the opportunity to take on greater responsibility for site operations, planning and project delivery while working on complex infrastructure schemes within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing engineering activities and site operations
- Leading and coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
- Setting out and engineering control of works
- Supporting project planning and programme delivery
- Reviewing technical information and construction documentation
- Producing and reviewing risk assessments, work package plans and inspection test plans
- Monitoring project progress and reporting to senior management
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental standards
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
Requirements
- Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or similar
- Experience as a Senior Site Engineer, Section Engineer or Sub Agent
- Strong rail or infrastructure project experience
- Proven setting out and surveying capability
- Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance and site documentation
- Ability to operate effectively within live operational environments
