SITE ENGINEER / SENIOR SITE ENGINEER

Location: Central Scotland / East Scotland

About the Opportunity

A leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is seeking a Site Engineer / Senior Site Engineer to support the delivery of major infrastructure projects across Scotland.

Working on a diverse portfolio of rail and civil engineering schemes, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Projects may include bridges, highways, earthworks, structures, access roads, flood alleviation works and other major infrastructure improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying works on site
• Interpreting drawings and technical specifications
• Managing dimensional control and quality assurance
• Supervising site activities, labour, plant and subcontractors
• Maintaining accurate site records and documentation
• Assisting with work planning and programme delivery
• Supporting the preparation of inspection and test plans, work package plans and risk assessments
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards

Requirements

• Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or similar
• Previous experience as a Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer
• Strong setting out and surveying experience
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience supervising site activities and subcontractors
• Experience within rail, civil engineering or infrastructure projects preferred
