Multi Skilled Operative (Energy / Recycling)

Location: Central Scotland
Sector: Energy / Recycling / Waste Management
Reporting to: Site Supervisor

Overview
An established energy and recycling operation is looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Operative to support day-to-day site activities. The role requires flexibility across multiple operational areas to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate across multiple site functions, including:
    • Weighbridge operations
    • Forklift / loading shovel / grab handling
    • Traffic marshalling
    • Picking line/recycling activities
  • Carry out routine operational tasks including:
    • Plant housekeeping, cleaning, and litter control
    • Clearing blockages and supporting maintenance activities
    • Completing site logs, inspections, and safety checks
  • Ensure strict adherence to HSE procedures (including LOTOTO and traffic management systems)
  • Report defects, safety concerns, and operational issues promptly
  • Support efficient running of weighbridge systems and accurate record keeping
  • Rotate across duties based on operational requirements
  • Work collaboratively with site teams to maximise productivity

Requirements

  • Experience in a production, waste, recycling, or industrial environment
  • Strong awareness of Health & Safety standards
  • Forklift licence (or experience with plant equipment such as shovel/grab)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Good communication and basic IT skills (for logs/weighbridge systems)
